I read a great book recently called The Seas, by Samantha Hunt. I chose it because it was ocean-themed and won a National Book Award, but the part that stuck with me and kept me awake after bedtime was about bread.

A recurring theme in the book is dictionaries and definitions. This one sent me down an etymology rabbit hole:
